Step 5 — Screening
Before a decision can be made, everyone in the structure is screened against sanction lists and PEP registers (politically exposed persons), with an adverse-media check on top. BECCO E-gaming does this through its integration with Stracket.
Run a screening
Section titled “Run a screening”-
Open the client’s Information tab and find the Stracket screening section.
-
Press Run screening.
-
Select who to screen: the parties, and optionally the Main entity (the client company itself).
-
Start the screening.
Two conditions must be met, and the dialog will tell you if they aren’t:
- The client must be in status In review — screening is part of the review process.
- A party can be selected once its status is In review – Compliance, i.e. after the review has been handed over to compliance. The exception is affiliations: they can be screened regardless of status, as long as their name has been filled in.
The screening usually completes within a few moments. If it takes longer, you can close the dialog; results are delivered to the dashboard automatically as soon as they are ready.
Reading the results
Section titled “Reading the results”For every screened person or company you’ll find:
- A Stracket report (PDF) in the party list and on the Documents tab, with the detailed findings.
- Updated PEP and Sanction hit indicators in the party list on the Information tab.
- The Last Stracket check date, so you always know how fresh the results are.
- An entry in the Audit trail for every screening started and completed.
Each result has an outcome: Clear, Consider or Rejected.
Clear results are approved automatically
Section titled “Clear results are approved automatically”When a screening comes back Clear, the report is approved automatically and nothing further is needed.
When a screening finds something (Consider or worse), the party’s status changes to Pending report: the report is waiting for a human judgement. Open the report, assess whether the hit is real and acceptable, and approve the report to let the party continue. Use View in Stracket to inspect the underlying match in detail. Approving reports is reserved for managers and compliance officers.
The screening outcomes feed the Screenings + results section of the review, where compliance weighs them in the overall risk assessment.
If the screening won’t start
Section titled “If the screening won’t start”- “Stracket screening unavailable” — the client or parties aren’t in the right status yet; see the two conditions above.
- Insufficient credits — your organization’s Stracket account is out of screening credits; purchase additional credits via the Stracket billing page.
- Any other error: try again, and contact support if the problem persists.
