Screening affiliations

Affiliations exist to be screened: they let you run sanction, PEP and adverse-media checks on people and companies around the structure without onboarding them as full parties.

When can an affiliation be screened?

Affiliations follow looser rules than regular parties:

• The client must be in status In review, like for any screening.
• The affiliation itself only needs a name: first and last name for a natural person, a company name for a legal entity. Its lack of status is no obstacle — affiliations can be selected in the screening dialog at any point, where regular parties first have to reach the compliance stage.

Run the screening from the same Stracket screening section on the client’s Information tab; eligible affiliations simply appear in the selection list.

Working with the results

• The Stracket report (PDF) is stored on the affiliated party and can be opened from the Affiliations group in the party list.
• The PEP and Sanction hit indicators of the affiliation update automatically — and you can also set them by hand in the party list, for example when you know something the screening didn’t surface.
• Screened affiliations join the daily monitoring: if a new hit appears later, the report and indicators update automatically.

Because affiliations have no party status, a hit never moves them to Pending report the way it does for regular parties — assess their reports directly from the party list, and weigh the findings in the review’s Screenings + results section.

When an affiliation is deleted, its monitoring is switched off automatically.
