Internal chats
The Chats tab of a client is your team’s internal discussion space for that client. Clients and parties can never see it — it is strictly between the dashboard users of your platform.
Direct messages and group chats
Section titled “Direct messages and group chats”You can chat one-on-one with any team member, or create a group chat with two or more participants — for example one group per client team. The chat list shows active conversations first and can be searched.
Messages support:
- @mentions — type
@to mention a group member; mentions drive the notifications below. - Quoting — reply to a specific earlier message to keep context.
- Attachments — images and PDFs.
- Editing — messages can be edited afterwards; the history is kept.
Staying on top of unread messages
Section titled “Staying on top of unread messages”Unread activity is visible in three places:
- A badge on the client page header with the number of unread messages for that client.
- An indicator in the client list, so you can see which clients have unread chat activity.
- The chat overview panel in the navigation: all your unread direct messages and mentions across every client in one list.
Email fallback for unread messages
Section titled “Email fallback for unread messages”If a direct message to you, or a group message that @mentions you, is still unread after a few minutes, the system emails you with a See message button that links to the client’s chat. Messages you have already read never trigger an email.
